CMR Provides Audio for YouZeum

Creative Media was contracted to provide audio for over a dozen displays for the YouZeum, a one of a kind health-science center opening in 2008 in Columbia, Missouri. Exhibit creator Mark Brush had CMR find a variety of voices for a wide range of interactive displays that are designed to aid visitors in understanding the human body and make healthy choices in lifestyles. Most of the material is youth oriented, but the YouZeum is geared for the entire family.

Many of the exhibits contain computer based display and Brush oversaw all the production elements. CMR recorded the voice-over material, provided complete mixes with music and sound effects and created ambiance loops used in various areas throughout the museum.

The production elements took almost two years to complete while the building was being acquired and retrofitted for opening in summer 2008.

CMR Sweetens TV Spot for Western Center Museum

CMR provided voice-over, music and sound effects for a :30 cable TV spot for new museum in the Inland Empire called the Western Center Museum in Hemet. This is a museum designed as a repository for the paleontological and archaeological materials recovered during the excavation of Diamond Valley Lake. The TV spot is geared to introduce viewers to the new facility which houses Native American artifacts and host of interactive displays.

The spot will run throughout the Inland Empire and eventually in other areas of southern California to attract new visitors to the museum.

CMR Converts Audio Book to Spanish

Creative Media Recording (CMR) recently completed the recording of a Spanish version of an entire audio book entitled The Silent Garden, an educational book by Dr. Paul Ogden, aimed at parents of deaf children. Butte Publications contracted with CMR to create an audio version to supplement the print version. The book and audio contain helpful insights and firsthand stories for parents who are confronted with raising a hearing impaired child in today's society. The final program was over 3 hours of material mastered onto three audio CDs.

CMR Creates Crystalens Radio Spots

Former NFL great and veteran sports announcer, Pat Summerall, visited the OC studios of Creative Media Recording in Cypress recently to record over 40 radio spots promoting Crystalens, an optical lens implant device. The spots were individually customized to spotlight a variety of leading eye care surgery centers around the United States. Summerall personally underwent lens replacement surgery utilizing the Crystalens product and is now a spokesperson for the Crystalens.

CMR recorded all the raw voice-over takes, Then mixed and assembled all the spots for distribution around the nation.


FEBRUARY 2007

CMR Provides V.O. for Toolbelt Diva Series

Creative Media Recording just completed 10 episodes of providing the voice-over recording for the weekly Discovery Home Channel TV series Toolbelt Diva. The showÕs host, Norma Vally, is based in Orange County and the program is produced by an in independent production company in the Pacific Northwest. The show's directors listen in and guide Vally via CMR's digital phone patch. Then the final takes are uploaded to CMR's FTP server.

Toolbelt Diva pairs up Norma with female homeowners to tackle a variety of real-life home-improvement projects. Toolbelt Diva proves that any woman can take on just about any home improvement project with the help of Norma's knowledge and confidence.
